INTERCESSIONS

Weeks 2 and 4

God the Father raised up Christ through the Spirit, and will also
raise up our mortal bodies. Let us cry out to him:
Lord, raise us to life through your Holy Spirit.

All-holy Father, you accepted the holocaust of your Son in raising him from the dead,
 - accept the offering we make today, and lead us to eternal life.

Look with favor on all we do today,
 - that it may be for your glory and the sanctification of the world.

May our work today not be in vain but for the good of the whole
world,
 - and through it lead us to your kingdom.

Open our eyes today to recognize our brothers and sisters, and our hearts to love them,
 - so that we may love and serve each other.

Our Father...

Weeks 3 and 5

Let us pray to God the Father, who gave us new life through the risen Christ:
Give us the glory of your Son.

Lord our God, your might works have revealed your eternal plan: you created the earth, and you are faithful in every generation,
 - hear us, Father of mercy.

Purify our hearts with your truth, and guide them in the way of holiness,
 - so that we may do what is pleasing in your sight.

Let your face shine upon us,
 - that we may be freed from sin and filled with your plenty.

You have the apostles the peace of Christ,
 - grant peace to your people, and to the whole world.

Our Father...

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Week 4  Father of our freedom and salvation,
hear the prayers of those redeemed by your son's suffering.
Through you may we have life;
with you may we have eternal joy.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

one God, for ever and ever.

INTERCESSIONS

Weeks 2 and 4

Let us praise Christ, the source of all life and the foundation of all virtue:
Lord, establish your kingdom in the world.

Jesus our Savior, you died in your human nature but were restored to life by the Spirit,
 - make us die to sin, and live by the Spirit.

You sent your disciples into the whole world to preach the Gospel to every creature,
 - inspire those who preach the Gospel to live by your Spirit.

All power in heaven and on earth has been given to you, to bear witness to the truth,
 - keep the hearts of those who govern us faithful to the truth.

You make all things new, and command us to wait and watch for your kingdom,
 - grant that the more we look forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the more we may seek to better this present world.

You went down among the dead to bring them the good news of the Gospel,
 - be the great joy and hope of all the dead.

Our Father...

Weeks 3 and 5

Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Let us praise him, and say:
Son of the living God, bless your people.

We pray to you, Lord Jesus, for all the ministers of your Church.
  -  As they break for us the bread of life, may they themselves receive nourishment and strength.

We pray for the whole Christian people, that all may be worthy of their calling,
  -   and safeguard their unity in the spirit by the bond of peace.

We pray for those who govern us, that they may temper justice with mercy,
  -  and promote harmony and peace throughout the world.

We pray for ourselves that out hearts may be purified to sing your praises in the communion of saints;
  -  may we be reunited with our deceased brothers and sisters, whom we commend to your loving kindness.
