God, come to my assistance.
 - Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
 -  as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever.

Reading

The Lord shall be a snare, an obstacle and a stumbling stone
  to both the houses of Israel,
A trap and a snare

The Lord has remembered his gracious promise
      - And has kept faith with his people Israel.

All-powerful Father,
Christ your Son became man for us
and was presented in the temple.
May he keep our hearts free from sin
