This Litany, and the accompanying Urban Rogation Procession, were taken from Ted Mellor's excellent website dedicated to Anglo-Socialism

The Litany of the Saints

The following version of the litany was compiled by parishioners at St. John's. Names may be added or omitted, ad lib. Additional names may be taken from Lesser Feasts and Fasts and other sources. It is entirely appropriate to include the names of recently departed parishioners and others significant to the parish or locality. Saints are crowned in the hearts of the people, not in the rule books of Liturgical Commissions!

Concluding petitions:

Lord, be merciful.

People: Lord, save your people.

From all evil,
From every sin,
From the crafts and assaults of the devil,
From envy, hatred, and malice,
From avarice, ambition, and selfish pride,
From hardness of heart and from every lack of charity,
From every evil inclination,
From everlasting death,
From all false doctrine, heresy, and schism,
From drought and from storm, earthquake, fire, and flood,
From epidemics of disease, from AIDS, and from every affliction,
From hunger, homelessness, and desolation,
From all oppression, from violence, robbery, murder, and war,
From nuclear disaster and from weapons of total destruction,
By the mystery of your holy Incarnation,
By your birth and submission to the law,
By your baptism, fasting, and praying,
By your suffering, your holy Cross and passion,
By your precious death and burial,
By your rising to life again,
By your return in glory to the Father,
By your gift of the Holy Spirit,
By your coming again in glory,
