______

Deus in adjutorium meum intende,
Domine ad adjuvandum me festina

Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One,
Have mercy on us
Agios o Theos, Agios ischyros, Agios athanatos,
eleison imas.
Sanctus Deus, Sanctus Fortis, Sanctus Immortalis,
miserere nobis

HYMN

 CHRISTE, redemptor omnium,
conserva tuos famulos,
beatae semper Virginis
placatus sanctis precibus.

Beata quoque agmina
caelestium spirituum,
praeterita, praesentia,
futura mala pellite.

Vates aeterni iudicis
apostolique Domini,
suppliciter exposcimus
salvari vestris precibus.

Martyres Dei incliti
confessoresque lucidi,
vestris orationibus
nos ferte in caelestibus.

Chori sanctarum virginum
monachorumque omnium,
simul cum sanctis omnibus
consortes Christi facite.

Sit Trinitati gloria,
vestrasque voces iungite
ut illi laudes debitas
persolvamus alacriter. Amen.

Most dear Redeemer of us all,
Protect your servants in their need,
Accept the Blessed Virgin's prayers,
Who deigns for us to intercede.

All choirs of holy Angels too,
Who praise our God both night and day,
Both past and present woes dispel,
All future evils keep away.

Great prophets of the Judge supreme,
And keen Apostles of our Lord,
We humbly beg the pow'rful aid
Your intercession will afford.

All martyrs for God's holy Name,
Who gloried in Christ's death to share,
And those whose lives have honored him,
Bring us to heaven by your prayer.

All monks and nuns who reap in joy
The fruits of ardent toil and praise,
Help us to earn our sight of God
With contemplation's purest gaze.

Give glory to the Trinity
And join your voices to our own,
That fittingly our eager praise
May mount before God's holy throne, Amen.

READING      Hebrews 12:22-24
You have drawn near to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

PSALMODY

Antiphon: Eternal light will shine upon your saints, O Lord, and they will live forever, alleluia.

1
I will bless the LORD at all times; *
his praise shall ever be in my mouth.
2
I will glory in the LORD; *
let the humble hear and rejoice.
3
Proclaim with me the greatness of the LORD; *
let us exalt his Name together.
4
I sought the LORD, and he answered me *
and delivered me out of all my terror.
5
Look upon him and be radiant, *
and let not your faces be ashamed.
6
I called in my affliction and the LORD heard me *
and saved me from all my troubles.
7
The angel of the LORD encompasses those who fear him, *
     and he will deliver them.
8
Taste and see that the LORD is good; *
happy are they who trust in him!
9
Fear the LORD, you that are his saints, *
for those who fear him lack nothing.
10
The young lions lack and suffer hunger, *
but those who seek the LORD lack nothing that is good.

Antiphon: Eternal light will shine upon your saints, O Lord, and they will live forever, alleluia.

Antiphon: Jerusalem, city of God, you will rejoice in your children, for they shall all be blessed and gathered together with the Lord, alleluia.

11
Come, children, and listen to me; *
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12
Who among you loves life *
and desires long life to enjoy prosperity?
13
Keep your tongue from evil-speaking *
and your lips from lying words.
14
Turn from evil and do good; *
     seek peace and pursue it.
15
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, *
and his ears are open to their cry.
16
The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, *
to root out the remembrance of them from the earth.
17
The righteous cry, and the LORD hears them *
and delivers them from all their troubles.
18
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted *
and will save those whose spirits are crushed.
19
Many are the troubles of the righteous, *
but the LORD will deliver him out of them all.
20
He will keep safe all his bones; *
not one of them shall be broken.
21
Evil shall slay the wicked, *
and those who hate the righteous will be punished.
22
The LORD ransoms the life of his servants, *
and none will be punished who trust in him.

Antiphon: Jerusalem, city of God, you will rejoice in your children, for they shall all be blessed and gathered together with the Lord, alleluia.

Antiphon:Before the throne of God and the Lamb the saints will sing a new song; their voices will resound throughout the earth, alleluia.

    Psalm 63
    Deus, Deus meus
1
O God, you are my God; eagerly I seek you; *
my soul thirsts for you, my flesh faints for you,
as in a barren and dry land where there is no water.
2
Therefore I have gazed upon you in your holy place, *
that I might behold your power and your glory.
3
For your loving-kindness is better than life itself; *
my lips shall give you praise.
4
So will I bless you as long as I live *
and lift up my hands in your Name.
5
My soul is content, as with marrow and fatness, *
and my mouth praises you with joyful lips,
6
When I remember you upon my bed, *
and meditate on you in the night watches.
7
For you have been my helper, *
and under the shadow of your wings I will rejoice.
8
My soul clings to you; *
your right hand holds me fast.
Antiphon:Before the throne of God and the Lamb the saints will sing a new song; their voices will resound throughout the earth, alleluia.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

First Reading

Wisdom 3:1-9

But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God,
and no torment will ever touch them.
In the eyes of the foolish they seemed to have died,
and their departure was thought to be a disaster,
and their going from us to be their destruction;
but they are at peace.
For though in the sight of others they were punished,
their hope is full of immortality.
Having been disciplined a little, they will receive great good,
because God tested them and found them worthy of himself;
like gold in the furnace he tried them,
and like a sacrificial burnt-offering he accepted them.
In the time of their visitation they will shine forth,
and will run like sparks through the stubble.
They will govern nations and rule over peoples,
and the Lord will reign over them for ever.
Those who trust in him will understand truth,
and the faithful will abide with him in love,
because grace and mercy are upon his holy ones,
and he watches over his elect.

Canticle
Benedictus es, Domine

Glory to you, Lord God of our fathers; *
you are worthy of praise; glory to you.

Glory to you for the radiance of your holy Name; *
we will praise you and highly exalt you for ever.

Glory to you in the splendor of your temple; *
on the throne of your majesty, glory to you.

Glory to you, seated between the Cherubim; *
we will praise you and highly exalt you for ever.

Glory to you, beholding the depths; *
in the high vault of heaven, glory to you.

Glory to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; *
we will praise you and highly exalt you for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Second Reading

Revelation 19:1,4-10

After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, 'Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power to our God, And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who is seated on the throne, saying, 'Amen. Hallelujah!'
And from the throne came a voice saying, 'Praise our God, all you his servants, and all who fear him, small and great.' Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunderpeals, crying out, 'Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready; to her it has been granted to be clothed with fine linen, bright and pure'— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' And he said to me, 'These are true words of God.' Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, 'You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your comrades who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'

MAGNIFICAT (Canticle of Mary)
Antiphon: The glorious company + of apostles praise you. The noble fellowship of prophets praise you. The white-robed army of martyrs praise you./ Throughout the world the holy Church acclaims you; holy Trinity, one only God.

INTERCESSIONS
God is the reward of all the saints. Let us joyfully call upon him:

                   Lord, save your people.

O God, through your Son Jesus Christ you built your Church on the foundation of the apostles,
- keep their teaching secure among your faithful people.

You made the martyrs powerful witnesses even to the point of giving up their lives,
- help all Christians to give faithful witness to your Son

You gave holy virgins the gift of imitating the virginity of Christ,
- may those consecrated to virginity be steadfast witnesses to the coming of your kingdom.

Your saints now see you face to face,
- keep alive in our hearts the hope of coming at last into your presence

Bring all who have died into the company of heaven with Mary, Joseph and all your saints,
- and give us also a place in the unending fellowship of your kingdom.

Our Father…

Collect

O Almighty God, who have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship, in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those indescribable joys which you have prepared for those who truly love you: through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting.

Almighty ever-living God,
by whose gift we venerate in one celebration
the merits of all the Saints,

an abundance of the reconciliation with you
for which we earnestly long.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

May the Lord bless us,
protect us from all evil
and bring us to everlasting life.
