God chose us in him
before the world began
to be holy
and blameless in his sight.

He predestined us

In him and through his blood, we have been redeemed,

so immeasurably generous

READING      Romans 8:28-30
We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who have been called according to his decree. Those whom he foreknew he predestined to share the image of his Son, that the Son might be the first-born of many brothers. Those he predestined he likewise called; those he called, he also justified; and those he justified he in turn glorified.

INTERCESSIONS
The Apostles are the foundation and we are built on them. Let us pray to the almighty Father for his holy people:

                                         Lord, remember your Church.

Father, Mary Magdelene brought news of your resurrection to the Apostles:
  -  may we be his witnesses, to the very ends of the earth.

Father, you sent your Son into the world to bring the Good News to the poor:
  -  may the Gospel be preached to every created thing.

Father, you sent your Son to sow the seed of the word:
  -  as we sow the Word with great labour, so may we reap its fruits with joy.

Father, you sent your Son to reconcile the world to you with his blood:
  -  grant that we may all work together for reconciliation.

Father, you have seated your Son at your right hand in heaven:
  -  receive the dead into your blessed kingdom.

O God, whose Only Begotten Son
entrusted Mary Magdalene before all others
with announcing the great joy of the Resurrection,
